Abstract
Early detection of pancreatic cancer has the potential to substantially impact outcomes in this deadly disease. There are many reports that EUS and Multi-detector CT were useful and effective procedures to detect the mass with early and small pancreatic cancers less than 1 cm. There are no symptoms in small pancreatic cancer. Therefore, it is difficult to detect small pancreatic cancer. We experienced the case that patient complained of painless jaundice and no mass was detected in pancreas and biliary tract even through the abdominal computed tomography and endoscopic ultrasound. We strongly suspected early bile duct cancer before preserving pancreatico-duodenectomy (PPPD), however, he had been diagnosed as small pancreatic cancer by 12 mm after PPPD. Therefore, we here report this case with literature review.
